The technology developed by Timber Structures 3.0 can now be experienced up close and personal for the first time. That’s because the new TS3 endurance test stand is currently being installed at Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel. It will be used to test and demonstrate potential applications for TS3 technology within the scope of the current KTI project (KTI = Commission for Technology and Innovation). The test stand will be dedicated on 16 May.
Stefan Zöllig and Marcel Herzog of TS3 spent nearly three weeks travelling around North America. They presented their new technology to an international audience of trade experts at a number of meetings and at the Mass Timber Conference in Portland.
The first multi-family dwellings incorporating the new TS3 gluing technology will be built in Switzerland this year: one in the Bernese Oberland region and four others in Seeland. TS3 AG will take its new technology to market readiness thanks to these projects.

Every two years, the calendar year for the construction sector starts with a major event. The Swissbau trade fair, the central convention for the construction industry, routinely attracts more than 100,000 visitors to Basel. TS3 AG will take part for the first time in 2018 in order to present the new technology at this important gathering.
The global wood construction industry will convene in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) in December to participate in the International Wood Construction Conference. The event is one of the most important conventions in the wood construction segment and is an obligatory date for timber specialists and architects from all over the world. TS3 will also be there.
Skyscrapers could in future be built from cost-effective and environmentally friendly timber instead of the usual steel-reinforced concrete elements. This is according to an article by Austrian business magazine Trend reporting on the new TS3 technology.
Taking place next month, Woodrise is the first world congress for the timber construction trade with a focus on medium-sized timber buildings and high-rise timber structures. Alongside lectures and workshops, the event in Bordeaux will also feature an exhibition at which Timber Structures 3.0 will have its own booth.
It’s official: the company Timber Structures 3.0 AG headquartered in Thun has registered the TS3 trademark in the United States of America. This was recently confirmed by the US Patent Office.
