Timber Structures 3.0 AG is currently having the TS3 joint comprehensively tested under arduous conditions – namely outside, exposed to the elements of the four seasons. The joint is undergoing testing at the Institute of Structural Engineering at ETH Zurich.
Building houses made of timber that were formerly only feasible with steel and concrete – the newly developed TS3 technology makes this possible. The latest edition of "Baubio", the magazine published by organic construction association "Baubiosuisse", contains a detailed introduction to the development of the ground-breaking technology.
At the end of March Timber Structures 3.0 AG will for the first time take part in the International Mass Timber Conference in the US. There the firm from Thun will present the TS3 technology developed in the last few years to the international specialist public. The exhibition is considered one of the most important events of this kind worldwide.
The Timber Structures 3.0 technology, which has been developed by TS3 in the past few years and has already been successfully applied in Switzerland, is also going to be established in Canada. For this purpose TS3 is currently carrying out a series of research tests with Canadian partners.
Our company took part in the WCTE as a partner. Our new exhibition booth, where we were able to display our vision of a timber city, attracted a lot of attention.

On 25 September 2015, the CTI (Commission for Technology and Innovation) approved the research project 18203.1 PFIW-IW "Development of a biaxial load bearing floor slab system in timber with high capacities for residential and industrial buildings"
Residents were able to move into the multi-family dwelling after a construction time of 8 months.
The topping-out ceremony for the MFH Berger in Thun took place on 18.5.2015. The building owner in particular praised the speed and the precision fit of the timber structure.
The first multi-family dwelling with TS3 technology was erected in Thun.
