TS3 and Balteschwiler AG strengthen cooperation

25. Feb 2022

The companies Timber Structures 3.0 AG and Balteschwiler AG have already been in a good, constructive exchange since the start of TS3 and have already realized various projects together. Now we will further intensify our cooperation.

With Timber Structures 3.0 technology, timber components made of solid, glulam or cross-laminated timber can be joined at the end faces. This makes it possible to create point-supported, multi-axis load-bearing panels or folded structures of any shape and size. This opens up constructive and design worlds that were previously inaccessible to timber construction.

Balteschwiler AG specializes, among other things, in the processing and logistics of large-format solid wood panels. At the plant in Laufenburg, for example, cross laminated timber and laminated veneer panels up to a size of 13.5 m x 3.2 m x 0.24 m can be bound and processed into semi-finished products.

The fact that the services of the two companies complement each other well has already been demonstrated in various projects, such as the Fasanenhof apartment building in Frenkendorf.

Now the cooperation between the two companies will be intensified even further. On the one hand, an agreement is being sought that will define in detail a closer cooperation in the future. On the other hand, Sven Bill, the current manager of the woodworking center of Balteschwiler AG, will take over the deputy management of TS3 as of April 01. The team of the woodworking center of Balteschwiler AG will be led into the future by Markus Fuhrer, CTO. Here, the investment in two additional CNC machining systems by mid-2023 will open up new groundbreaking possibilities.

The four-story Fasanenhof apartment building with 15 comfortable apartments in Frenkendorf was built in collaboration between TS3 and Balteschwiler AG.
