A year full of significant moments lies behind us. Discover the milestones that the TS3 team has achieved together with its partners. We would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in us and wish you a relaxing Christmas season and a happy new year.
A milestone in our eventful year was the completion of our Innosuisse research project on the topic of "Achieving market readiness". The project yielded significant findings, particularly in the area of temperature influence. These findings are now being incorporated into further developments to further optimize the performance of TS3.
Another focus this year was the approval process for Germany, which was launched in 2018 with the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBT), the Materials and Testing Institute (MPA) at the University of Stuttgart and with the involvement of Biel University of Applied Sciences. Over 2,000 tests have already been carried out in 40 different test categories. The results are currently being interpreted and correlated. This means that TS3 is now in the final stages of approval for Germany. The first TS3 projects will be implemented in Germany as early as 2024.
An eventful year full of exciting construction projects lies behind us. The performance and efficiency of TS3 technology was reflected in a total of 10 projects in which an impressive 3,500 m² of TS3 ceilings were installed.
Great achievements are the result of great people. We are delighted to have such employees in our team. We are particularly pleased that the team continues to grow and is enriched with talented individuals. Over the course of 2023, we welcomed six new members to the TS3 team: Kay Letzkus, Thomas Roos, Daniel Traina, Rüdiger Sütterlin, Ivan Tuchmann and Reto Valär. We would like to welcome you once again to our team and look forward to our journey together and many successful projects in the coming year!
Last year, we were able to grow even closer together as a team. The highlights were certainly the workshop days at the beginning of the year, where we consolidated our shared vision. Other highlights were the team days we spent together in Pratteln and Murten. These moments not only strengthened our cooperation, but also our team spirit and will remain as positive memories.
Developments in timber construction have undergone an impressive transformation in recent years. What was once only mentioned in trade journals is now a top topic in the most widely read daily and weekly newspapers. We are extremely pleased with this positive change and are proud to be part of this success story. A highlight of this year was Sven Bill in the NZZ am Sonntag, where TS3 was described as a "game changer" in the construction industry. Other renowned publications such as Sonntagszeitung, Wir Holzbauer and FIRST magazine have also reported on our innovative technology. You can find an overview of our media presence here.
We consider the sharing of our knowledge to be a decisive contribution to the further development of timber construction. For this reason, we also took part in various events and formats this year. A TS3 model was on display alongside many other material samples at the Baumuster-Centrale in Zurich, where we were able to present the advantages of TS3 to a large number of interested architects during a brownbag lunch using the Zollikerberg apartment buildings project as an example(click here for the recording). TS3 was also represented at the Timber Construction Day in Biel and took part in the first South German Timber Construction Congress (SHK) in Stuttgart. As usual, the International Timber Construction Forum in Innsbruck brought the trade fair year to a close. There, Sven Bill and Marcel Muster had the opportunity to present TS3 technology to a large audience, while we answered numerous questions about TS3 at our stand.
This year, TS3 was even able to take to the television stage. The NZZ format on SRF took a closer look at wood as a building material and TS3 was part of the program with the Blümlimattweg apartment building in Thun. If you missed the program, you can watch it here .
We are grateful for the numerous opportunities to share our enthusiasm for TS3 and look forward to more exciting discussions and developments in the coming year.
The coming year starts with a highlight: we will be very present at Swissbau in Basel. You can find us at stand L52 or at one of our various events. Visit us and experience live how a TS3 joint is cast and how a residential building planned in solid construction is turned into a living space made of sustainable wood( you can find all TS3 eventshere ).
The new year also promises many more innovations, exciting projects and ongoing collaboration with our partners. We are full of anticipation for what is to come and can't wait to shape the future of timber construction together with you.
Our offices will be closed from 20.12.2023 to 07.01.2023. We wish you a relaxing Christmas season and a happy new year. We look forward to a successful 2024!
